What moves a week

Three parts of REMATCH change how a week feels: the season clock, Player Contracts, and Netcode 2.0, which is still in a public beta. Read one, then jump to a short drill or send the room a question if a patch moved a button.

Season changeover clock for REMATCH ranked

The season clock

Season 6 starts 23 October 2026. The patch lands at 08:00 UTC, the store at 10:00, Season 5 ranked closes at 12:00 with rewards paid, and Season 6 queues reopen at 14:00. Plan the gap. A ranked match started late will not sneak into the old table.

Player Contracts

Season 6 retires Player Level as the ranked gate. Contracts hand out rewards and profile pieces you pick from, based on how you play. Legacy caps and profile bits still follow the level you had when Sloclap locks the old number. Push that level before the cutoff if you care about the keepsake.

Netcode 2.0 beta for tackles, dives, and first touches

Netcode 2.0

Sloclap is rebuilding how the server resolves tackles, dives, catches, and first touches. The beta, live from 14 October 2026 on the REMATCH Beta Test app, adds about 50 milliseconds of input delay and was pencilled in through mid-November. That window is the studio’s tentative plan, not a locked date. Gameplay edits on the live servers stay small so the delay is easier to read.
